What is the Film About?

The film is based on the true story of the protagonist Ballard, a former Department of Homeland Security Agent. Ballard spent his career finding and saving children who had been sex trafficked. Although Ballard has not claimed to conduct missions like in the film, Ballard's organization Operation Underground Railroad claims to have been involved in over 6500 arrests in sex trafficking cases.

What is the Controversy?

This film has garnered controversy for the involvement of Ballard and Jim Caviezel; both of whom are seen as controversial figures. Ballard appeared open to a theory theory that Wayfair, a popular furniture retailer, was selling children under pseudonyms. Caviezel who plays Ballard in the film, has spoken at multiple QAnon events promoting the adrenochrome conspiracy theory.
