Opinion: Latest Grammy Performance May Be The Wake Up Call The Church Needs

So, are you done with the Grammy's? Cause we are.

Sam Smith and Kim Petras performed a blatantly evil performance two nights ago at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Smith donned a blood red suit and top hat with devil horns. Behind him, fire and blood red lighting. His lyrics, from the song "Unholy" praised the likes of Balenciaga. Surrounded by those wearing BDSM clothing, Smith paid tribute to his god, while mocking the church.

While this is an absolute blatant display of blasphemy and mockery of the church...these kind of actions have been going a long for awhile. Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox openly practice satanic rituals, Demi Lovato has been talking to the dead, and Billie Eilish recently manifested on stage; yet the church still sings their songs, downloads their playlists, and runs to their concerts.

It is a continual choice to choose the Lord. It's a continual choice to not follow after the world. It is a continual choice to crucify our flesh.

If it was not abundantly clear before, it should be now. God is making a distinction between His bride and the world. There can be no more mixing. John 24:14 states, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

The beauty of this verse is any day you read it falls under "this day." It is a continual choice to choose the Lord. It's a continual choice to not follow after the world. It is a continual choice to crucify our flesh.

It is best to start practicing crucifying the flesh now as opposed to later. Right now, it is fairly easy. Simply do not pour money or support artists who mock God. Do not buy their clothes, buy their tickets, stream their music, etc. Rather, support those who love God and support companies that hold to Christian values.
